Heatherton were greeted by fresh but sunny skies at Mt Elizas home grounds.
Coach Rob played his usual conservative formation, with the back 4 always in line, never going passed the halfway line.
Though we dominated posession, and had several shots at goal, we were unable to finish cleanly, as Mt Eliza flooded their box with numbers whenever we were a threat. None the less, at half time we managed 2 : 0.
Second half, coach Rob implemented a full press, allowing a couple defenders to come forward, with out midfielders becoming available for options for our strikers. Within 2 minutes, the move was paying dividends with opportunities a-plenty.
Late in the second half, coach Rob played young Edin (from our U10s squad) who did brilliantly, with scoring opportunities of his own.
We are all proud of the second half, effort with selfless passing. Real team football!
